University Activity Center Open House Tuesday

Review recommendations for transportation and connectivity improvements, land use changes, a multi-use trail and a new university center.

Students, faculty and alumni of Life and Southern Polytechnic State universities, residents, and business and property owners are invited to comment on the draft plan for the Marietta University Enhancement Livable Centers Initiative study area.

Attendees will have an opportunity to review recommendations for transportation and connectivity improvements, land use changes, a multi-use trail and a new university center.

The purpose of the study is to create a redevelopment plan for Cobb Parkway and South Marietta Parkway, increase visibility of Life and Southern Polytechnic State universities, and better connect the universities with the surrounding community. The resulting plan will be used to increase public and private investment in the area. The meeting is the third of four that will be held to receive public feedback about the study.
