Marietta City Schools Pre-Registration, Open House Activities

Marietta City Schools classes begin at all schools district-wide Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012. Pre-registration dates/times, pre-opening and open house activities dates/times vary district-wide.

The MCS Transportation Department hosts their annual "Kindergarten Kruise" Tuesday, Aug. 7 for elementary students (regular and special education routes) and their parents. Buses run during regularly scheduled route times, and any elementary student, regardless of grade, can ride the bus with their parent. Parents and students return to their original pickup location upon completion of the route.

2012 Pre-Registration

All Elementary Schools

• July 30 – August 8: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 3 p.m.

Marietta Sixth Grade Academy

• August 1: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• August 2: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
• August 3: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• August 6: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• August 7: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• August 10: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Students registering on this date will begin school Monday, Aug. 13.

Marietta Middle School

• August 3: 8 – 11 a.m.
• August 6: 8 – 11 a.m.
• August 7: 8 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 6 p.m.
•  Registration resumes 8 – 11 a.m., Thursday, August 9 (first day of school)

Marietta High School (MHS)

• July 30 – August 6: Appointment and walk-ins on space available basis
• August 8: Appointment and walk-ins on space available basis

• August 8: 9 – 11 a.m.

Marietta Center for Advanced Academics

• August 6: 1 – 3 p.m.

Marietta Sixth Grade Academy

• August 7: 1 – 4 p.m.

Marietta Middle School

• August 7: 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. (Meet and Greet)

Marietta Performance Learning Center

• August 6: 1 – 2:30 p.m.

Marietta High School

• August 7: 9 – 11 a.m. (Ninth Grade Orientation, and Student Open House)
• August 7: 7 p.m. (Parents/guardians Open House)
