It’s baaaaack.

Six Flags Over Georgia opens for the 2014 season this weekend with a food drive for Must Ministries.

Bring six or more nonperishable food items to the amusement park located at 275 Riverside Parkway off Interstate 20 and pay just 20 bucks to gain entry.

Discounted online tickets start at $39.99 and general admission is $59.99. See the park's calendar here.

Six Flags Over Georgia expects to hire almost 3,000 seasonal workers this season, with 200 to 300 for the Hurricane Harbor attraction that is expected to open in May.

Hurricane Harbor will include an 800,000 gallon wave pool, a multi-slide tower, and a “world’s first” single slide tower combining two extreme slide thrills, plus an interactive children’s water play area. A tropical island theme will include new food locations, shopping, cabanas and expansive deck, lounge and shade amenities.

About a hundred lifeguards will need to be hired for the attraction and two hiring events are scheduled for the end of this month. Six Flags is the county's sixth-largest employer.
