A Year of Patch Pets

In 2011 many of Cobb's homeless pets found new homes. Cheers for 2012, may it be even better for the homeless - pets and people too.

There has been an entire year’s worth of Patch pets of the week from the Cobb County Animal Control shelter. I had to see how the numbers looked.

Here’s how it went…

319 pets featured

Here’s hoping that next year the adoption, rescue, and reclaim numbers are up…and the number put down will be nil.

This week’s Patch pets of the week are Copper, Cinnamon, and Tater.

Copper is a cutie that came in as a stray on Nov 18. She still wears the collar that someone once gave her. She’s a beautiful girl, with gorgeous eyes – don’t let that seemingly grumpy look fool you, she has a precious disposition. Copper is a longhaired Calico Persian mix, who enjoys being held, petted, and chilling out. She’s about 3 to 4 years old and really would like to have a home again. ID No. 538045.

Cinnamon, with her lovely eyeliner eyes, has tons of spunk and lots of love to give. She is a youngster at one year old and likes to spend her time playing with anything. This babe doesn’t need fancy toys, she plays with whatever you give her. Cinnamon came in to the shelter as a stray the day after Christmas. That wasn’t the Christmas present she had asked for. She asked for a home…so her wish can still come true. ID No. 539077.

Tater was brought in on November 30. He had a hold for eviction notice on his card. I assume his family didn’t come back for the little fellow because he seems to be up for adoption now. Tater is a tan, two year old Dachshund with a precious face and an even more precious personality. He would love to find a new home as soon as possible and once more be a part of the family. ID No. 538353.
