Blue Angels Partner with Toys for Tots, Lockheed

A C-130 will stop in Marietta to pick up toys donated by Lockheed Martin to kick-off the 2011 holiday giving season.

Fat Albert, the C-130 support aircraft for the U.S. Navy’s world-famous Blue Angels aerial demonstration team, will arrive at Lockheed Martin on Tuesday, Nov. 22, for a very special Toys for Tots mission.

Departing from its home base at NAS Pensacola, Fla., Fat Albert will stop in Marietta (where it was built) and Fort Worth, Texas, to pick up toys donated by Lockheed Martin to kick-off the 2011 holiday giving season.

The collected toys will be transported to Toys for Tots coordinators in Birmingham, Ala., where Marines and volunteers will distribute the toys to families in communities devastated by tornados this past spring.
