Dare to Hope Gingerbread JAM
The Atlanta-based charity Dare to Hope has opened registration for its gingerbread competition in Marietta.
The Ainsley Paige Higginsβ Dare to Hope Foundation, Inc. presents , an event benefiting children with critical, rare and complex medical conditions at the on Dec. 10 from noon to 8 p.m.
Gingerbread JAM features an amateur gingerbread competition, local arts and crafts market, food and holiday festivities. The top prize for the adult competition is $200 and $75 for the youth category.
The Dare to Hope Foundation is currently seeking gingerbread competition entrants for the event. Pre-registration for the gingerbread competition is going on now with entry prices $5 to $10. Event tickets are a $5 donation for ages 13 and up. Children under 12 years old are free.
The Dare to Hope Foundation was founded in June 2010 by Lisa Higgins and Gina Gareau-Clark, two mothers of children diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, a life-threatening metabolic disorder. Dare to Hope was born out of a need to help children with rare diseases or complex medical conditions have better lives.Β
