Video: Cobb Shelter Animals Move

Foster families bid farewell to shelter dogs being transported to a Minnesota rescue group from Cobb County Animal Control via the Puppy Pipeline.

Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb County transported 13 dogs from Cobb County Animal Control to a rescue group in Minnesota last Saturday.

The dogs and Puppy Pipeline volunteers arrived safely in Minnesota on Monday.

Many of the dogs transported have already been adopted.

The video, made by Friends of Shelter Animals, is a tribute to the Cobb foster families and volunteers who nurtured the dogs as well as the Puppy Pipeline Rescue of Georgia volunteers who donated toward the dogs' transportation.

The of the year at Cobb Animal Control is Saturday, Oct. 8Β  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held at the shelter.

Visitors will enjoy vendors, food, animal rescue groups, police K-9 demonstrations, raffles, special adoption rates and a chance to meet the new on-staff veterinarian.

This event is part of Cobb Animal Control's effort to compete in the . The goal of the challenge is to save more lives in the short term and increase the potential to save more lives in the future.
