12/5/2013 - BEWARE OF SELLER AND THIS VEHICLE
I purchased a vehicle on 10/15/2013 from Greg Townsend. I told him I need a van for me and my children. The van I drove in was giving me some problems. I explained to him I needed reliable transportation. Greg sold me a burgundy 2000 Pontiac Montana VIn # 1GMDX03E2YD109127 that started running hot after having it for a month an a half. The engine light kept coming on as well as low coolant light. I gave him $700 as a down payment.I talked to Greg Townsend on the phone when the lights started coming on. He asked was the vehicle running hot, at the time it was not. I brought it in to him. He claim he had a mechanic that only worked on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and the vehicle had to be there by 9am and there was no guarantee that the vehicle would be finished by 5pm. I ended up calling him when the vehicle ran hot. Greg told me that I need to get it towed in so the mechanic could look at and tell me how much it would cost to get the vehicle fixed. I took it to Precision Tune and they told me that it has a blown gasket and they found residue where someone was using stop leak in the cap of the coolant system. They told me I should get my money back.
Now, I am catching the bus and walking where I have to go because I wrote him a letter asking for the money i put down as a down payment as well as the monthly payment I made. He came and got the vehicle on 12/10/2013. He sent me a letter telling me that his is going to sell the vehicle. There should be laws against this.
