Yep with all of this money spent to warehouse inmates was totally un-neccessary and unconstitutional since they have a tendency to house innocent people as long as they can in order to gain convictions. If your bond is less than a $1000 you will set in jail quite sometime that you will enter a plea deal just to get out. If you are like me and a murder witness against Cobb Police you will get hit with every charge that they can think of and your bail will be so high that it costs a fortune to hire a bail bondsman and you might get convicted of one misdemeanor like what happened to me in a 2006 case where they also went so far as to put William Dobbins 1st Degree Forgery conviction on my background in retaliation for me pushing for a murder investigation since 1998 against Cobb Police officers. I have seen people arrested over frivolous charges and forced into plea deals in order to save their assets and still come back on probation violations because of a cold hearted idiot named Frank Baker who isn´t fit to even be a dog catcher. People like them and him make me sick and disgusted at the citizens of Cobb because everyone but me are scared of these you know whats running this county.
Cobb County Detention Division
770-499-4200
The Detention Division of the Cobb County Sheriff's Office manages the county's jail, the Work Deployment Facility and the Records and Information Unit. The jail spreads out over 11 acres and includes Building A, the site's original jail, which was constructed in 1987 for $13.5 million; Building B, an expansion added in 1997 that cost $39.2 million; and C Tower, a $110 million project finished in 2010. The entire complex can house 3,077 inmates, all of whom are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Work Deployment Facility can house up to 384 inmates assigned to supervised county work crews and work release programs. These are inmates who have been sentenced to serve their time within the county. The maximum sentence allowed for this institution is 24 months, although the average time served is between six and 12 months. The Records and Information Unit maintains arrest and identification records, fingerprints, photographs and court documents for any person that has served a sentence in a Cobb detention program. Col.
