Laurel Park, the city's largest park at 25 acres, features a tennis center, a one-mile track, two ponds, a sand volleyball court, an outdoor basketball court, two pavilions, an open play field and numerous picnic tables and grills.

Tennis Dynamics, a regional tennis facility management and player development company, manages the Laurel Park Tennis Center. The center includes 13 hard courts, each lighted for evening play, and offers an extensive range of tennis programs for juniors and adults.

Tennis Dynamics formed the Marietta Tennis Association. In September 2010, it ran the inaugural City of Marietta Open Tennis Championships.
