WellStar Kennestone Hospital is a major hospital serving northern and central Cobb County. Acquired by the WellStar Health System in 2006, the hospital offers specialized care in women's health, cancer treatment, advanced surgical procedures, state-of-the-art imaging and other medical services.

Presently, the hospital is the only one in Georgia to feature the CyberKnife, an advanced radiosurgery system used to treat tumors, cancers and other medical conditions. The hospital also features the da Vinci Surgical System, a sophisticated robotic platform for minamally invasive surgical procedures. As with many other WellStar hospitals and centers, Kennestone employs the most advanced imaging systems available today, including 256 Slice CT and 64 CT scans and 3.0T MRI.

For women's health, the hospital is home to both the Jean and Mack Henderson Women's Center and the Women's Shoppe. For elderly patients, the hospital hosts Atherton Place, a senior-living community.
