Atlanta Police to Recuit Officers

The Georgia Department of Labor will help the Atlanta Police Department recruit a number of officers Monday, Oct. 29, in Marietta.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help the Atlanta Police Department recruit a number of officers Monday, Oct. 29. The recruitment and information session will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Rd. in Marietta. Applicants must be at least 20 years old, have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED), and be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license. While no prior experience is necessary, applicants must pass a cognitive skills examination and personality assessment. Visual ability cannot be less than 20/100 in each eye uncorrected and must be corrected to 20/20 with glasses or contact lenses.  A medical examination is required upon offer of …
