Kroger Partners with American Cancer Society to Raise Awareness, Funds

Local grocery stores are asking for donations for Relay for Life "footprint" icons.

Kroger and the American Cancer Society (ACS) are partnering for an in-store fundraiser through Feb. 16—that raises awareness and funds to help fight cancer. During the two-week campaign, Kroger will urge its customers to donate to ACS by purchasing $1 Relay For Life “footprint” icons at Kroger checkouts. “In the U.S., and across every community we serve, so many lives are affected by cancer,” says Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “We are honored to fight alongside the American Cancer Society as they help nearly 14 million cancer survivors and countless others continue to avoid the disease.” All 213 stores in Kroger’s Atlanta Division—which includes locations in Georgia, South …
