Stolen Credit Card Used at Marietta Kroger

A stolen South Carolina credit card was used at a Canton Wal-Mart and Marietta Kroger.

Canton Police are investigating the use of a stolen credit card, which belongs to a woman from South Carolina. The credit card was used at a Kroger in Marietta as well as a Wal-Mart in Canton. Two men are suspected of using the stolen credit card at the Canton Wal-Mart in August, according to the Cherokee Tribune. They were caught on surveillance video and observed with two to three other males who were not captured on video. An Atlanta Police Officer has been charged with 2nd degree vehicular homicide; an apologetic armed robber victimized a female construction worker near the Georgia Tech campus—read some of the day's top headlines from around metro Atlanta.

A representative from Georgia State Patrol said charges are still pending as officers continue to investigate a Douglas County car accident that killed a Smyrna woman and her Atlanta co-worker. Michelle Chinnis, 35, of Smyrna was driving her Nissan Sentra on a sales call with her co-worker Tracy Downer, 44, of Atlanta when the car was struck on the driver’s side by a tractor trailer. Some witnesses have reported that the driver of the tractor trailer, Robert Sansom, 64, of Colorado, was trying to beat a red light before the collision. Freshman Point Guard Sean Tate: GCAA Player of the Week

Tate averaged 17 points, eight assists and 3.5 steals in two games last week while shooting 17-of-19 from the free-throw line and 50 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association has named freshman Sean Tate the Player of the Week for Week 4 of the men’s basketball conference season. Tate, a 5-foot-7 point guard from Sequoyah High School in Canton, averaged 17 points, eight assists and 3.5 steals in two games last week while shooting 17-of-19 from the free-throw line and 50 percent from beyond the 3-point arc. His assist-to-turnover ratio was 4-to-1 for the week, and his 16-point, eight-assist and four-steal effort helped CTC pick up a big conference win last Sunday, Jan. 29 against Waycross College. “This is a great honor and it means a lot to me,” Tate said of the award in a news release. “As a freshman coming in, this is a great start to my college career.” Tate came …
