Do You Have Your Own Rules for Your Children's Phone Usage?

How closely do you monitor your children's use of technology?

Janelle Hoffman, a Cape Cod, Mass., mother of five, presented her 13-year-old son with an iPhone for Christmas, along with a list of rules and regulations for its use. Not the Apple list; the mom's list. Rule No. 1 is, "It is my phone. I bought it. I pay for it. I am loaning it to you. Aren't I the greatest?" And No. 2 is, "I will always know the password." The contract has 18 points of requirements for usage that range from proper phone etiquette to sage advice for the future, such as No. 12: "Do not send or receive pictures of your private parts or anyone else's private parts. Phone App Leads to Drugs, Weapons Seizure in Marietta

Marietta police seize weapons and drugs at an apartment on Franklin Road while responding to a report of a stolen iPhone.

The investigation of the drugs and weapons seized early Tuesday resulted in seven arrests. Afton Leak, 22, and Brandon A. King, 20, both from Marietta, are charged with numerous theft, weapons and narcotics charges. Charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession are Christian Moore, 22, of Atlanta, Jasmyne J. Pleasant, 20, of Acworth, Shaquala K. Dennis, 20, of Marietta, Qunitavious Cullins, 22, of Atlanta, and Tatravious D. Nelson, 31, of Marietta. Marietta police seized 1,100 grams of suspected marijuana, 42 tablets of Oxycodone and six guns at Autumn View Apartments, located at 1035 Franklin Rd. Officers responded to a stolen cell phone report at the Marietta Hotel on Northwest Parkway at around 3 a.m. Tuesday. The victim told police …
