A 56-year-old Smyrna man is accused of molesting his girlfriend's 14-year-old daughter near Marietta. The suspect, identified in a Cobb County criminal warrant as David Uriyah Hardy, was living with his girlfriend and her daughter at the time of the alleged incident, said Officer Mike Bowman, spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department. Authorities learned about the alleged abuse, which occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 1500 block of Crider Road, when the teen's mother called 911, Bowman said. The teen was bruised, according to the results of a medical examination. An inmate at the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility has died and the case is being investigated. Jail staff found Robin Tracy Harrington unresponsive in his cell at 10:30 p.m. Sunday and began CPR on him, according to WSB-TV Harrington was taken to Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 11:30 p.m. At this point it is unclear what caused Harrington's death, but officials said there is no indication of foul play. The Sheriff's Office Inspectional Services Division, with assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office, is conducting an investigation. Four men now are charged with murder in the death of Iraq war veteran Zach Gamble. Cobb County police arrested Tarell Winston Secrest, 36, of Marietta, Jason Scott Hill, 35, of Marietta and Arthur Lynell Batchelor, 37, of Acworth, on Tuesday, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a news release. (Jail booking records list Hill as a Woodstock resident.) Each is charged with committing felony murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery against Gamble, a 34-year-old Marine veteran from Acworth who police say suffered a fatal beating early March 25 after a party at the Concord Crossing Apartments in Smyrna. Two Marietta pizza delivery guys helped track down a suspect accused of robbing the Pizza Hut at 250 Windy Hill Three masked males entered the Pizza Hut and when one of them pointed a handgun at a female employee, she ran from the business, Sgt. Dana Pierce said. In addition to taking the females pocketbook, one of the men hopped the counter and took the cash drawer from the register before fleeing on foot, Pierce said. Chris Albright and another driver were standing outside the Pizza Hut when the three men went inside the restaurant, WSB reports. A Marietta teenager and a man from South Carolina have been charged with the shooting death of a taxi driver at an East Cobb apartment complex in late 2010. Javin Rashad Andrews, 17, of Marietta, and James Levone Mitchell, 20, of Columbia, S.C., have been charged with one count each of aggravated assault and homicide, Cobb Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Andrews has been in custody at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on numerous charges since Jan. 12 and Mitchell is awaiting an extradition hearing in South Carolina, Pierce said.
