Administration Changes at Sawyer Road Elementary
Sawyer Road Elementary will get a new principal and assistant principal and Marietta City Schools will have a new director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, K-12 Programs, on May 1.
The Marietta Board of Education is making changes at Sawyer Road Elementary. Debbie Burley, assistant principal at Sawyer Road, was named interim principal at the school. Burley replaces Jill Sims, who is the current principal and newly named director of Elementary Curriculum & Instruction, K-12 Programs. Susan Graves, Title I Teacher/Coach, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program Coordinator at Sawyer Road, was named interim assistant principal. Jill Sims has been instrumental to the IB success at Sawyer Road Elementary. Her presence will be dearly missed. It's great to see that Mrs. Burley and Mrs. Graves will continue the great leadership at Sawyer Road. Michelle Cooper Kelly more ›
