Nickelodeon, Disney Teen Stars to Visit Atlanta This Weekend

Disney’s “Austin & Ally” star Calum Worthy, who plays Dez; “Jessie” star Peyton List, who plays Emma Ross; and Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” star Noah Munch, who plays Gibby Gibson, will visit metro Atlanta Feb. 23 and Feb. 24.

Three teen stars from Nickelodeon and Disney television shows will visit North Point Mall on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Perimeter Mall on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. Noah Munck, stars as Gibby Gibson on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly,” Calum Worthy, stars as Dez on Disney’s “Austin & Ally,” and Peyton List, stars as Emma on Disney’s “Jessie.” The trio will headline the event promoting Myrtle Beach as “the ultimate vacation destination." Munck, Worthy and List will engage with fans by signing autographs and taking pictures. “Usually we just get to quickly say hello, but this time we are really going to get to talk and get really up close,” List told Patch. “They can expect to hangout, and I can guarantee you guys all sorts of high fives!” Worthy …

The Most Magical Place on Earth

What I learned from my trip to Disney World.

I just returned from an amazing trip to Disney World with my family. I can remember entering the gates of The Magic Kingdom as a child and being in complete awe of Cinderella's Castle as it towered over me. So, I was super excited to return with my children and share the experience with them. Going back as a parent is totally different. Gone are the days of running from ride to ride carefree. No, when you're the grown up it takes lots of planning and organizing to make the trip run smoothly. I did as much research as I could before leaving for the trip. 'Let It Shine' on the Square

Scenes for the Disney Channel Original Movie "Let It Shine," including its final dramatic musical number, were filmed on Marietta Square and in the Strand this week.

Disney was on Marietta Square Thursday shooting scenes for the movie Let It Shine. Filming was done throughout the week near the Glover Park fountain and in front and inside the Strand Theatre. "It’s (the Strand) a beautiful classic theater that speaks to the richness of our story, and we wanted an intimate space for our final dramatic musical, and the Strand Theatre was perfect for that vision," director Paul Hoen said. The Disney Channel Original Movie Let It Shine is a modern day teenage Cyrano de Bergerac set in the world of gospel music and hip-hop.
