The driver of a sedan that veered onto a sidewalk on Franklin Road Monday afternoon and a pedestrian the vehicle struck are both in critical condition at WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Marietta Police said. Moses Katta, 50, of Marietta, was headed southbound on Franklin Road near Twin Brooks Drive around 3:30 p.m. Monday when his 1994 Nissan Sentra left the road and onto a sidewalk, hitting Jasmine Harper, 18, also of Marietta, according to police. Police indicated the cause of the accident is unknown, but may have been medically related. Traffic on one of the southbound lanes of Franklin Road was blocked for a time on Monday afternoon as police continued the investgation. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call …

Marietta Police are looking for Cleveland Brady, of Marietta. Brady is wanted for the robbery of the Viva Mexico Restaurant on Powder Springs Road and the robbery of a pizza delivery driver on Franklin Road.

Cleveland “L.A.” Brady, 22, of Marietta, is wanted for two armed robberies. On Nov. 2, Brady, along with an unidentified accomplice, robbed the Viva Mexico Restaurant on Powder Springs Road, according to Marietta Police Officer David Baldwin. Brady is also wanted for the robbery of a pizza delivery driver on Franklin Road, which occurred on Oct. 30, 2012, Baldwin said. Brady is 6’4” and just under 200 pounds. He has a newer tattoo on the left side of his neck. The unidentified accomplice is a person of interest in multiple robberies along the Powder Springs Road corridor. The investigation of the drugs and weapons seized early Tuesday resulted in seven arrests. Afton Leak, 22, and Brandon A. King, 20, both from Marietta, are charged with numerous theft, weapons and narcotics charges. Charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession are Christian Moore, 22, of Atlanta, Jasmyne J. Pleasant, 20, of Acworth, Shaquala K. Dennis, 20, of Marietta, Qunitavious Cullins, 22, of Atlanta, and Tatravious D. Nelson, 31, of Marietta. Marietta police seized 1,100 grams of suspected marijuana, 42 tablets of Oxycodone and six guns at Autumn View Apartments, located at 1035 Franklin Rd. Marietta Water will be shutting the water off in the area of Franklin Road and Kingston Court Tuesday from approximately 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to perform critical maintenance. The work is needed because of the street improvements being done in the Franklin and Delk roads area. When service is restored customers may experience discolored water for a brief period.
