Hunt Around Marietta Parks, Historical Sites
Keep Marietta Beautiful's new scavenger hunt uses global positioning system devices to search for geocaches in the city's parks and historical sites.
Looking for something new to do in Marietta? Keep Marietta Beautiful has a way to have family fun, see the sites of Marietta and spend time outside—geocaching. On the scavenger hunt, use your global positioning system-equipped smart phone or device to search for 10 geocaches in the city's parks and historical sites. All hidden caches are outside and can be searched for at any time. Collect cards from all the hidden locations and present them for a prize bag weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Marietta City Hall or weekends at The Historic Marietta Trolley Co. Sites include: Remember to cache in and trash out on every hunt. Bring a trash bag along with you on your searches, and pick up the occasional piece of trash you see.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Sounds like a fun things for Scouts to do as well. I will need to try it next time I am in Marietta.   more ›
