Pedestrian Struck, Killed on 41 A motorist about 1:35 this morning struck a pedestrian wearing dark jeans and a black shirt, who appeared to have improperly crossed the highway, Cartersville Police Department Chief Thomas Culpepper said in a news release.  The man hit by a McDonald's worker on Highway 41 near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Kennestone Hospital, but died in surgery.
