Arrests Made in Marietta Shooting

Police arrested two suspects Friday in the fatal shooting of a Marietta man.

Dedric Baisden, 19, and Dwight Moore, 19, of Lithonia, were charged with murder, aggravated assault, burglary and armed robbery in the killing of 30-year-old Brandon Brazil, of Marietta, according to a press release from Cobb County police spokesman Mike Bowman. According to police, the Cobb County Emergency Communications Center dispatched uniform officers from to Sedgefield Apartments to investigate gun shots fired in the area on Jan. 11. When the officers arrived, they located the body of Brazil lying inside his apartment with apparent gunshot wounds.   Baisden was taken into custody without incident in Dekalb County and is now being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. Marietta Man Fatally Stabbed

Cobb County police found the 28-year-old outside an East Cobb restaurant early Sunday.

A Marietta man was fatally stabbed early Sunday outside East Cobb Mexican restaurant Los Bravos. Cobb County police officers responding to a call about a man armed with a knife arrived at the restaurant about 3:20 a.m., according to a press release from Sgt. Dana Pierce. The officers found a man with multiple stab wounds in the parking lot at 1360 Powers Ferry Rd. The wounded man, 28, was dead upon arrival at a hospital. Police are withholding his name until they notify his family. Witnesses said the killer fled in a red Cadillac CTS. The restaurant is in a small strip mall at the northwestern corner of Powers Ferry and Terrell Mill roads. It is beside Brumby Elementary School. Cobb Police Seek Help in Identifying Body

Investigators suspect foul play involving body found this morning near Carruth Drive south of Marietta.

Cobb Police are involved in a homicide investigation following this morning’s discovery of the body of a dead man. Investigators said police with the Crimes Against Persons Unit dispatched to the 200 block of Carruth Drive south of Marietta arrived at about 8:45 a.m. When they investigated, they found the body of a dead but unidentified man between two houses and determined that he had been killed. Police called in the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office to assist detectives with their investigation and attempts to identify the victim. Anyone with information that may assist the medical examiner or the Crimes Against Persons Unit should call 770-499-3945.

A sketch, a photo....common sense right? Maybe they aren't so inclined to have this person identified. What else is missing? How about a basic description: Height, weight, hair color, possible age, clothing and any identifiable marks or tatoos. You sure they want to identfy this person....I'm not seeing it.   more ›
