Dallas Highway Crash Injures Two

A crash involving two cars and a dump truck on Dallas Highway at West Sandtown Rd. left two injured.

A dump truck going east on Dallas Highway struck into a car at the traffic light at West Sandtown Rd. at approximately 3 p.m. The dump truck driver said that on approaching the light he was unable to stop and swerved left, Cobb County Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said. The truck went across the median and struck a car turning left from northbound Sandtown Rd. to westbound Dallas Highway. The car was struck on the driver's door and pushed through the intersection into a car sitting at the traffic light westbound on Dallas. At last report, the two drivers were alive but in critical condition, Pierce said. Traffic should be flowing again.
