Starting in April concerts will be held once a month through September in Glover Park. Take a look at the lineup for the 2013 Glover Park Concert Series.
The Kurt Thomas Band will kick off the 2013 Glover Park Concert Series with their party rock and country music. The first Glover Park Concert of the season will take place on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. in and around Glover Park. The concerts are free and open to the public. Blankets and lawn chairs may be set up after 4 p.m. Personal tables are not permitted in the park but may be set up on North Park Square after 5:30 p.m.

Rebekah Weiler topped the competition during the 10th-annual Southeastern Cowboy Gathering at the Booth Western Art Museum.
The Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville on Monday announced the winners from several competitions held during the 10th-annual Southeastern Cowboy Gathering held March 7-9. Saturday afternoon, the museum hosted an Open Music Contest in the Booth Ballroom. Participants competed in five categories: Mandolin, Banjo, Guitar (flat picking), Junior Fiddle (under 18) and Open Fiddle. Placing first in the Banjo category was Rebekah Weiler of Marietta. The Southeastern Cowboy Gathering is designed to celebrate Western heritage and is am opportunity for residents of the Southeast to explore the West without leaving the South.
