Food Scores: Marietta Wings, Wing's Pub Get B's

Take a look at the food scores for Marietta businesses, including: Arby's, Chick-fil-A, Church's Chicken, El Barco, Marietta Wings & More, McDonald's, Melody Lane, The Smoothie Express, Waffle House, Subway, Wing's Pub, Zaxby's and more.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from a best possible score of 100. A sample inspection form is attached. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.

McDonald’s, Blue Stream to Recruit in Cobb

A Kennesaw McDonald's is hiring workers to operate grills, take orders from customers, operate cash registers, prepare menu items and perform other duties; Blue Stream is looking for cell tower ground technicians.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will conduct two separate recruitments next week to help a McDonald’s restaurant and Blue Stream Professional Services fill a number of jobs in Cobb County. The first event will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, from 8-11 a.m. at the McDonald’s restaurant, located at 4050 Jiles Rd. in Kennesaw. The restaurant will be hiring workers to operate grills, take orders from customers, operate cash registers, prepare menu items, stock supplies, perform cleaning and janitorial services, and provide building maintenance. Applicants should dress professionally and have resumes ready at the interviews. Those selected will gain experience in the foundation of the restaurant business, including hospitality, customer …

To celebrate National Coffee Day on Sept. 29, Marietta area McDonald’s restaurants will offer each customer a free small Premium Roast McCafé Coffee through Sept. 29.

To celebrate National Coffee Day on Sept. 29, Marietta area McDonald’s restaurants will offer each customer a free small Premium Roast McCafé Coffee Sept. 23 through Sept. 29. Local McDonald's owner/operators anticipate serving an additional 4,800 cups of coffee per store during each day of the promotion, culminating in an additional 33,600 cups of coffee being consumed across the Marietta area by the end of the week. Starting in September, McDonald's will proactively list calorie information on all in-restaurant and drive-thru menus in Marietta and nationwide. This initiative is a continuation of McDonald's ongoing efforts to help customers and employees make informed nutrition choices at McDonald’s.

McDonald's Mighty Wings Take Flight in Marietta

Atlanta will be the only market in the U.S. to offer Mighty Wings in 2012. The "crispy, crunchy, spicy, bone-in chicken wings" will be available while supplies last.

All Marietta-area McDonald's restaurants will be serving up the zesty new Mighty Wings. These "crispy, crunchy, spicy bone-in chicken wings will zest up the summer," according to McDonald's representatives. McDonald's newest summer drink is now available in Marietta for a limited time. Readers can celebrate July 4th by sampling Cherry Berry Chillers at two metro Atlanta locations and entering to win a $100 Arch card.

Cherry Berry Chiller, McDonald's newest summer drink, is now available in Marietta. A blended ice beverage made with "100 percent fruit juice with natural flavors," Cherry Berry Chiller is a mix of fruit juice with the sweetness of cherries and raspberries. It's made to order and available at the Marietta McDonald's for a limited time.
