The incident happened Thursday.
An Osborne High School student was caught with a stun gun after he allegedly threatened a teacher. About 10:30 a.m. Thursday, 18-year-old Dedric Bryant Garrett hurled vulgarities and threats toward a teacher after the man told the teen to go to class. The threats caused "the teacher to fear for his safety and well being," an officer wrote in a Cobb County criminal warrant. "The teacher had to leave his class during class hours to try to get the accused and two juveniles to leave the hallway." During a patdown, authorities found a stun gun in Garrett's left front pocket, according to the warrant. He was arrested at the school on charges that include disorderly conduct, disruption of public schools and carrying a weapon in a school safety …

He was arrested Thursday.
An Osborne High student on Thursday allegedly brought a 6.5-inch throwing knife to school. Salvador A. Salgado was in the bathroom when his teacher noticed the knife "in plain view on the table" around 3 p.m. March 21, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant. When Salgado returned from the bathroom, the teacher asked him if the knife belonged to him. "Accused said 'Yes,' " authorities wrote in the warrant. The blade on the knife was 3.5 inches long and the handle was 3 inches. The teacher escorted Salgado to an assistant principal's office, where police arrested him on a charge of carrying a weapon within a school safety zone. Early Friday morning, he was released from the Cobb County Jail on an $8,000 bond.

The start of the high school football season is just a week away, and some of Cobb's best teams are priming for an early spotlight. Walton, Kell and McEachern will all be playing next Saturday in the Corky Kell Classic at the Georgia Dome. Earlier this week, they all learned, not surprisingly, that they're ranked in the Top 10 in preseason polls. Earlier this year, the Georgia High School Association went from five to six classifications for sports, so the designations for most schools have changed. East Cobb's Walton, which reached the Class AAAAA title game and is ranked No. 4 in the Class AAAAAA preseason poll, got a bit of a surprise this week in a scrimmage against Hillgrove of West Cobb. Also in the Class AAAAAA preseason poll is…

Your vast knowledge is worthless if that's what you think. You do a disservice to all teachers by spewing garbage like that.
