Contestants Sought for Miss Cobb County Pageant

Young women, 17 to 23 years old, who are single and have graduated high school by June 2013 are eligible to compete in the Miss Cobb County Scholarship Pageant in August. More than $30,000 will be awarded in cash scholarships and prizes.

Grace Gives to Troops, Kids, Animals and a Sick Pal

Five-year-old Savannah Grace Benton of Marietta has been in seven charity pageants and will be in the Miss Diamond Princess pageant this month to raise money for 3-year-old Addison, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in January.

Five-year-old Savannah Grace Benton isn't just playing dress-up for fun. She's getting her hair and makeup done by a stylist, putting on a themed dress and walking onto stages for a crown and to make the world a better place. Grace has been in seven pageants, but not just any pageants—charity pageants. From Miss Puppy Love, for which she raised 200 pet items and dog food in bags bigger than herself, to the Crowns for a Cure, in which she raised $100 for cancer patients in honor of her aunt, Grace has been dressing up, helping her community and having fun in pageants most of her life. Tiny Miss North Georgia State Fair for ages three to four kicks off the annual fair Sept. 22 at Jim R. Miller Park.

Young ladies, 3 to 24-years-old, will put on a dress and a winning smile in the annual North Georgia State Fair Pageant Sept. 22, the opening night of the North Georgia State Fair. The fair, which runs for 11 days, takes place at Jim R. Miller Park. The 2011 fair theme is “Take A Ride on the Wild Side.” Reigning Miss Georgia 2011 Michaela Lackey will be a guest mistress of ceremonies. Young Ladies Win Honors at Little Miss Cobb

Southern Polytechnic State University hosted the 2001Little Miss Cobb Pageant on Saturday.

Beautiful and talented girls ages 2-18 competed in the 2011 Little Miss Cobb Pageant on Saturday at the Southern Polytechnic State University. From gorgeous gowns to hand-made costumes as well as vocal performances to harp playing and dance, this 20th Anniversary Little Miss Cobb was spectacular.
