The Tri Fruit and Grain Salad may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for the Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad, since it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Publix received notification of the potential contamination from their supplier, Allison's Gourmet Kitchens. Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad, UPC # 41415-39662, was distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Product was sold in pre-packaged 12 ounce containers, and this recall involves all product sold from December 2012 through March 26, 2013. by City of Marietta Marietta City and Cobb County officials and representatives from Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets celebrated the opening of a 41,403-square foot grocery-only store at 1137 Powder Springs Road on Jan. 16. Approximately 90 employees have been hired to operate the store, one of the first Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets in Georgia. The store is strategically located within one of Marietta’s opportunity zones, which encourage new businesses to locate in the city or existing businesses to expand. When two or more new jobs to the state of Georgia are created, businesses may be eligible to receive $3,500 in state income tax credits for each new job for five years. Fees on checking accounts hit an all-time high in 2012, reports the financial website Bankrate.com, with much of the increase coming in charges for use of out-of-network ATMs. According to the side, the average fee assessed by the owner of a foreign ATM climbed 4 percent this year to $2.50. Combined with the typical charge by a consumer's own bank for an out-of-network withdrawal — $1.57, up 11 percent — the average cost per transaction now stands at a whopping $4.07. And for the first time ever, all financial institutions surveyed by Bankrate.com reported charging non-customers for ATM transactions.
