Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from a best possible score of 100. A sample inspection form is attached. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.

A new fro-yo has come to town just in time for National Ice Cream Month. The 30th U-Swirl Cafe in the chain opened for business in Marietta earlier this month. "We are so very pleased to have the store open here in Marietta," said Darrell Jenkins, owner of River Jordan, Inc., a U-Swirl franchisee in Marietta, in a press release. "We have been anticipating this day for a while and couldn't be happier to share U-Swirl with our fine community here in Marietta!"
