1. The Sanders Family Christmas at the Strand Theatre will run Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 2012. The holiday show has the sunny-voiced Sanders Family back just before the beginning of World War II. They're quirky, saintly and delightfully melodic as they interpret everybody's favorite bluegrass gospel music. 2. Dec 1 and Dec. 2, 2012. Kick off the holiday season with the 26th annual Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour. Hospitality and a festive atmosphere greet visitors as they tour historic homes ranging from Victorian Mansions to a 1920’s cottage, all located in the Church-Cherokee Street National Register Historic District.
