Filming occurred in front of the Australian Bakery, which was renamed the Adair Bakery & Cafe for the production, in the alley behind Hemingway's and Cool Beans as well as various spots around the square. Filming occurred in front of the Australian Bakery, which was renamed the Adair Bakery & Cafe for the production, in the alley behind Hemingway's and Cool Beans as well as various spots around the square. There were 150 crew members, 50 extras from the area and three cast members working on the square Friday night. A boy on a skateboard who is being chased by aliens and is eventually abducted was the scene shot on the square. Marietta Square is a buzz of bustling people just waiting to catch a glimpse of Vince Vaughn or Ben Stiller in the filming of Neighborhood Watch. Sorry folks, but it's unlikely that you'll see these two stars today. There will be three cast members arriving on the square sometime after 4 p.m. Friday, but neither Stiller nor Vaughn is among them, Marietta's Parks and Recreation director Rich Buss said. Filming Friday night and Saturday morning will occur in front of the Australian Bakery on South Park Sq., in the alley behind Hemingway's and Cool Beans as well as various spots around the square, Buss says. Day and night time shooting of “Neighborhood Watch,” starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller, will take place in Marietta on Friday.
A movie starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller will be shot around Marietta Square beginning Friday, affecting traffic. Film crews will arrive in Marietta Thursday to give buildings around the square an aged appearance, paint signs, cover awnings and replace window displays in stores, according to a Marietta City news release. Shots around the Square will be used to portray the fictional All-American city in the Twentieth Century Fox production Neighborhood Watch. Friday evening, crews will turn off lights around the square and on top of buildings to create a dark, scary, alien-friendly atmosphere.
