Where to Get the Best Hot Chocolate in Marietta

Take a look at our favorite hot chocolate picks in Marietta, and share your favorites with us.

No matter how old I get, the holidays mean it's time for one thing—hot cocoa. And there is no shortage of this wintery beverage in Marietta! So who do you think serves the best hot chocolate in Marietta? 1. Le Cafe Crepe is my favorite place to get hot chocolate on Marietta Square. Chocolate Chaud (hot Coco heaven)—it earns its name. From the strong freshly-melted dark chocolate to the thick whip cream to the light sprinkle of cinnamon, it's the perfect drink to fight off the cold. While you're at Le Cafe Crepe, try one of their crepes. I suggest Crepe Californienne (vanilla custard with lemons and oranges), Crepe Brazillienne (chocolate mouse with raspberry sauce, cherries and almonds) and Crepe Francaise (cinnamon apples with butter and …

All fabulous places on the Square! I haven't had the Chocolate Chaud from Le Cafe Crepe yet, but now I'll definitely be trying it. Love their Crepe au Jambon. Thanks!   more ›

Marietta Plans $770,000 Renovations to Atherton Square

Improvements will help visitors find Atherton Square easier and help create a Southern garden feel while highlighting the Marietta Visitors Bureau's importance as a train depot.

Plans are underway on a $770,000 renovation of Atherton Square, between the Marietta Visitors Bureau and Cool Beans near Marietta Square. When complete some of the improvements will include brick sidewalks leading to Atherton Square, replacing the Visitors Bureau's roof and making the restrooms in the Visitors Bureau handicapped accessible. Construction, which is funded by a federal grant through Georgia's Transportation Enhancement Program and city funds, is expected to begin in June 2014. The city selected Roswell-based BDG Design Group to design the project. Visitors to the Square often relax and enjoy a break from the heat in Atherton Square, but it's currently hard to find. When complete, improvements will help visitors find Atherton …

Mochas, Lattes, Cappuccinos, Coffee: What Marietta Cafe Gets Your Business?

Tell us what is your drink of choice and where you start your mornings in Marietta.

I love coffee, understatement. I'm sure if I added up how much money I spend a year on coffee I would be horrified, so let's not go there.   Here are the main stops for my morning beverages. Take a look and tell us where you go for your coffee.  1. Canvas Cafe: I wish I got to go to Canvas more often. When it comes to their vanilla latte, it's the perfect amounts of espresso and vanilla, leaving you with a satisfying start to the morning that's not too bitter and not too sweet. Take a closer look at Canvas with our review.  2. Cool Beans: I love Cool Beans' chai tea, but their vanilla lattes seem to come out under mixed. A sip of espresso (a bitter experience) followed by a sip of vanilla (too sweet). So if you're on the go take a moment …
