Marietta Middle School teacher Kayce Grogan-Wallace stars in her fifth production at the Strand Theatre.
Kayce Grogan-Wallace, a native of Marietta and theater teacher at Marietta Middle School, starred in the Atlanta Lyric Theatre's production of Ain't Misbehavin' "It's one of the best musical reviews of all time," Grogan-Wallace said. "It's a great expression of the music of the late '20s." Ain't Misbehavin' is Grogan-Wallace's fifth show with the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. "It's an amazing experience," Grogan-Wallace said. "The Lyric always has great concepts, great visions, and the production always turns out wonderful." Life University's Diversity Committee is sponsoring this TheatreSouth production for Black History Month.
The timeless production of I Have A Dream, written by Josh Greenfeld, will provide a local platform for Life University’s new found Theatre Program run by Artistic Director Herman LeVern Jones. Life University’s (the world's leading chiropractic educational institution) Diversity Committee is sponsoring this first production for Black History Month. This show will star Atlanta’s own Samuel Nathan as (Martin) from Off Broadway’s “MADAM”. In the summer of 1915, a three week national celebration of the 50th anniversary of the emancipation was held at the Coliseum in Chicago. Thousands of African Americans journeyed from all over the country to view exhibits that showcased the advancement they had made since the abolishment of slavery. Among the individuals in attendance was Dr. Carter G. Woodson, a graduate of Harvard and the University of Chicago.
