1. Join Santa Claus for his arrival in Marietta and the lighting of the Christmas tree on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. Resurgens Charitable Foundation is funding a year-long program of Dance-Ability classes for children with special needs at the Marietta-based Georgia Ballet. The Dance-Ability program will be open to eight children per semester. The goal of the class is to give children with special needs a traditional dance class experience, while tailoring the class to allow for their comfortable participation. Kick of the holiday season with a variety of family fun events in Marietta from the annual Christmas Home Tour, to the Georgia Ballet's presentation of "The Nutcracker," to a night of carols or tea with Santa and Cinderella.
