Street Art Comes Inside on Marietta Square

Stephanie Rond’s work blurs the line between outdoor and indoor spaces, and seeks to challenge the traditional gender roles associated with each.

There is still time to see Stephanie Rond’s newest solo exhibit, Outside: In at 2 Rules Fine Art on Marietta Square. For centuries outdoor spaces have been considered a male-dominated sphere, whereas women dominated (and were confined to) indoor spaces. She creates her artwork using stencils, spray paint, and repurposed items. Street art is an outdoor art form; it is also male-dominated. For Outside: In, the artist creates faux brick “walls” from paper and paints imagery on top. The imagery is of women and children, a non-traditional subject for street art. The works’ textures …

Rescue Dog Steals the Show, the Heart of Marietta Actress

The Atlanta Lyric fostered and trained Buster, a Chihuahua mix in need of a home, for "Legally Blonde" in the hopes of helping him find a new home; what they didn't expect was for Buster to be adopted before the show opened.

When Atlanta Lyric Theatre needed a small dog to play the role of Brusier in the musical adaptation of Legally Blonde, the organization turned to Furkids.
