WGTB Productions, LLC, filmed scenes for the movie "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" on Marietta Square for the Hallmark Hall of Fame channel on Wednesday. Filming took place inside and in front of the Earl Smith Strand Theatre. "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" is also scheduled to film scenes on E. Mountain Street in Stone Mountain from April 29 through May 2. Film production company WGTB Productions, LLC, will film a scene for the movie "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" on Marietta Square for the Hallmark Hall of Fame channel.
Film production company WGTB Productions, LLC, will film a scene for the movie "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" Wednesday, April 24 for the Hallmark Hall of Fame channel. Parking will be restricted on both sides of North Park Square between Church and Cherokee streets from Tuesday, April 23 at 11 p.m. until Wednesday, April 24 at 11 a.m. Marietta Police officers will hold traffic while filming is taking place. No streets around the Square will be closed during filming. Film crews will work with Marietta Police to minimize the impact filming has on businesses around the Square. This holiday season, audiences can enjoy the uplifting story of the Tony Award nominated musical Irving Berlin's "White Christmas."
