WGTB Productions, LLC, filmed scenes for the movie "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" on Marietta Square for the Hallmark Hall of Fame channel on Wednesday. Filming took place inside and in front of the Earl Smith Strand Theatre. "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" is also scheduled to film scenes on E. Mountain Street in Stone Mountain from April 29 through May 2. Earlier this month, Hamlet and Hutch, starring Burt Reynolds, Terri Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show) and Cassi Davis (Tyler Perry's House of Payne), filmed at K. Hallmark Movie to Film at Strand Theatre on Marietta Square

Film production company WGTB Productions, LLC, will film a scene for the movie "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" on Marietta Square for the Hallmark Hall of Fame channel.

Film production company WGTB Productions, LLC, will film a scene for the movie "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" Wednesday, April 24 for the Hallmark Hall of Fame channel. Parking will be restricted on both sides of North Park Square between Church and Cherokee streets from Tuesday, April 23 at 11 p.m. until Wednesday, April 24 at 11 a.m. Marietta Police officers will hold traffic while filming is taking place. No streets around the Square will be closed during filming. Film crews will work with Marietta Police to minimize the impact filming has on businesses around the Square. "The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963" is a period film set in 1963. Ten to 12 period cars will be parked in the background. Newer cars cannot be in the shot …

Vegas Comes Back to Marietta Square

The Strand stage will be transformed into a Vegas variety show with showstoppers and impersonators highlighting the talents of Elvis, Madonna, Justin Beiber, The Temptations and more.

Board an imaginary plane and travel to the city of shows March 7 through March 10 as The Strand Theatre brings Vegas back to Marietta in its musical revue, The Vegas Show 2013. The show will benefit the Humane Society of Cobb County and The Earl Smith Strand Theatre.
