Bio

I absolutely love journalism, and I love what Patch has done and is doing to revitalize community journalism on a hyperlocal level. I am always seeking new ways to tell stories. I am a journalism nerd with a pop junkie habit. Along with journalism and its value to communities, I also love pop culture, and I often use pop culture references. When I'm not working on some aspect of South Cobb Patch, I am probably enjoying a live music show, reading something new at Borders or huffing and puffing in a local Zumba fitness class.

Your Beliefs
I believe that every single person has worth and that every single person, if you listen to them, has an amazing story to tell.

Politics
How would you describe your political beliefs?

I am pretty liberal on social issues.

Religion
How religious would you consider yourself? I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

Local Hot-Button Issues

What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?

The most important issue affecting our community is the need for revitalization and a positive boost to the image of this area. I do not have a strong opinion about the Mableton smartcode at this point. However, that may change. As for Austell, I believe that there is a lot left to be done, but it's come a long way since the floods. South Cobb is Atlanta's best kept secret, but I'm pretty sure South Cobb Patch is about to blow the lid off of it.

My heart goes out to all of South Cobb and the Family of Rev Graves, President Cobb SCLC. I ask that you go to our Cobb SCLC face book page and greet the SCLC family. A great leader , a good man and a good friend has gone home.

Kiri, does Mableton have a recycle pick up? I know that we don't use that and it would be easy to set our recyclables out with our trash.
