Originally from Virginia, I have called East Cobb my home for 16 years. My background is in PR with a Master's Degree from Webster University, St. Louis. I have been a special event coordinator, a foundation assistant director, a PR director, a perpetual volunteer and a mom.
I am interested in the education process and follow the school-board happenings with interest because I have three kids making their way through the system. We run the gamut at our house with one student in elementary, one in middle school and one in high school. The system hasn't always worked for us, and one son attends a Home School Academy.
I am a Sustainer in the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta and have invested a great deal of volunteer hours through this excellent organization.
I have also spent a good number of hours over the years in fellowship and local missions through the Marietta First United Methodist Church.
These days you can find me most Saturdays at the Marietta Square Farmers Market where I help out at my husband's booth. Mr. K's Cookies made its first appearance at the Market in 2009, and we hope to continue the family business many summers to come. You can call me Mrs. K.
