About Ted

Thank you for taking a moment to look at my profile. Like most photographers I had a camera in my hands at an early age shooting with the Kodak Instamatic. Then in high school a friend, who happened to work at the school newspaper, let me borrow his camera for a basketball shoot and the rest is history. Not long after I received my first camera, a Nikon FM and a couple of lenses, I was totally immersed in photography by my senior year in high school. I even had a very crude but functional darkroom in the laundry room of my house.

I studied Mass Communications in college and worked for my college newspaper and yearbook. Late in my college career I found television news and videography and a new path was started. I have photographed Super Bowls, World Series, NCAA Championships, All-Star games, coaches shows, hurricanes, political conventions and a wide variety of news and spot news events. There isn't much I have not seen. I am a two-time Emmy Award winner, several AP Awards and a recent recipient of the Peabody Award all while staying current in SLR/DSLR photography.
