Marietta Man Arrested Twice in 16 Days

Marietta police pulled over Jarrid Rashaad McInnis at the intersection of Polk and Hope streets about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Fifteen days after he was released from the county jail, a Marietta man was arrested again on drug-related charge.

Marietta police pulled over Jarrid Rashaad McInnis at the intersection of Polk and Hope streets about 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Cobb County arrest warrant.

He had just been released from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center June 4 on charges of intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, according to online jail records.

After the June 19 traffic stop, police found 26 grams of marijuana in two separate clear plastic bags that were "packaged and ready for sale," according to the warrant.

Police detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from McInnis and allegedly found more drugs in his pants pockets as well as $633.

The cash "was in denominations no greater than $20 dollar bills," which is  "consistent in the sale and distribution of narcotics," according to the warrant.

McInnis was arrested on a charge of intent to distribute marijuana. He was released from the county jail Thursday on a $20,000 bond.
