How to Do Business with Cobb Seminar

The next "How to Do Business with Cobb" seminar is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Piedmont Church, 570 Piedmont Road. 

See the attached flyer for details. Cobb government department reps will be answering questions for small business owners and prospective vendors on how to procure county contracts for a variety of tasks and services.

Brown Bag Concert

Enjoy some outdoor fun at the Brown Bag Concert Series from 12 to 1 p.m. in Marietta Square. The event features free music and takes place in the Historic Marietta Square. This week will feature Keren Leppo & Friends, variety music. 

Marietta Streetfest

See classic cars, collect antiques, listen to music and watch fireworks while helping benefit the Marietta Museum of History at the 22nd annual Marietta Streetfest on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Commemorate 150th Anniversary of Civil War at Movie Premiere

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and the Battles of Marietta 150th committee will present the premiere of the new movie "Kennesaw: One Last Mountain" at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre Sept. 22 at 7:30p.m.

This will be the first showing of the new movie created by the National Park Service for the Battlefield's Visitor's Center. 

It includes recreations of the battles around Kennesaw Mountain and Marietta and is narrated by the actor of more than 100 films, Emmy-winning narrator Peter Coyote.
